Most of you (if not all of you) know by now that we moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ at the start of August. Jeremy got an excellent job here at the local hospital, and he is really enjoying it. He has nice coworkers (even the doctors are nice, which is quite surprising!), and is learning a lot of new things. I'm currently not working, but am hoping to find something soon. Jeremy going back into the medical field and me having a job as well means that we will be able to pay off almost all of our debts within about 3 years - we're stoked for that! It also means that we will have health insurance that very well may pay for some fertility treatments...we're even more excited about that possibility! (more on that in a later post)
Our trip to Arizona overall was pretty uneventful. We drove a 14 foot UHAUL truck and towed our car behind it so that we could bring all of our stuff with us, and having two cats and a dog, plus Jeremy and I in the cab made for some tight quarters at times, but it was well worth it. We were actually supposed to be driving a Budget rental truck, which has significantly more room in the cab than UHAUL trucks do, but when we went to pick it up (the day we were leaving!) we were told they had no tow dollys for our car and weren't sure when they would get one. Thankfully two different UHAUL places worked with us to get what we needed so we could still leave that day. Here's us about to pull out of our townhouse parking lot in Maryland:
Needless to say, we are thrilled to be here. This place is absolutely gorgeous. Jeremy and I lived in Phoenix when we were first married, and I had forgotten how beautiful a desert sunset is. What makes this place even better is that there is a huge lake (thus the city's name of Lake Havasu) that adds to the beauty of the natural landscape here. We feel so lucky and so blessed to be living here.
